The Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra (MetSO) invites young West Australian instrumentalists, vocalists and composers to audition for the opportunity to perform as soloists, or have their work performed during the MetSO 2026 Concerts Series.

If you can perform it with a Symphony Orchestra we want to hear from you - from Baroque to Broadway!

The successful applicants will perform a solo or group work during MetSO’s 2026 concerts.

Entries open : August 2025

Entries close : 15th December 2025

MYA Auditions 2026 open to WA Artists under 30 years of age.

Entries by YouTube video submission - for performers.
(see MYA Rules and Conditions for additional/alternate submission requirements for our MYA Composers).

N.B. Those artists that have been successful twice (i.e. in two different intake years) via our MYA entry pathway, may be invited to become Artists in Residence with the Orchestra.
