Keaton graduated from WAAPA in 2021 with a Bachelor of Music (Honours), where he studied voice with Michael Lewis. In addition to completing his honour's dissertation, which focused on the Lieder of HRH Prince Albert, Queen Victoria's husband, Keaton performed the role of Major-General Stanley in WAAPA's production of the Pirates of Penzance (2021) and was a recipient of the 2021 Royal Overseas League Art-Song Prize.

Keaton performed the roles of Orpheus in Orpheus in the Underworld (2020) and Dr Falke in Die Fledermaus (2019) and, as an actor, performed as Bendedick in Much Ado About Nothing (2018).

Keaton is a regular member of various consorts in Perth, including the St Mary's Vocal Ensemble, Lux et Veritas, Eneksis, and the Perth Chamber Singers, with Margaret Pride. He also teaches voice and piano at the Dalkeith Rd School of Music.

In 2022 Keaton will make his professional debut with the West Australian Opera in their productions of Carmen, Iolanta and Tosca; and, in Freeze-Frame Opera's La Fanciulla del West (Chorus). Keaton aspires to a career in the performing arts and plans to study a Masters of Music overseas.
