Ha Yoon Kim

Ha Yoon began her musical journey at the age of four and has since grown into a dedicated young violinist with an impressive record of achievements. She has won multiple local eisteddfods, including being named Overall String Player at the Fremantle Eisteddfod for three consecutive years. Her talent and commitment have also been recognised through a music scholarship from All Saints’ College. She began orchestral playing at the age of seven and quickly developed a passion for ensemble music. At ten, she was accepted into the West Australian Youth Orchestra (WAYO), joining the First Violin section as one of its youngest members. 

In 2026, she was selected for the Australian Youth Orchestra (AYO) Symphonists program. In 2027, she will participate in both the AYO Orchestra and Symphonists programs, including an opportunity to perform in Singapore.

Ha Yoon currently studies under Riley Skevington, Associate Concertmaster of the West Australian Symphony Orchestra. She is also an active chamber and ensemble musician. Her ensemble has received several accolades, including the AUSTA String Prize & Junior Prize at the national chamber music competition, Strike a Chord. Ha Yoon performs on a 1930 Giuseppe Peluzzi violin and uses a W. E. Hill & Sons bow.

Outside of music, she enjoys reading books and maintaining an active lifestyle. She particularly loves swimming, both indoors and at the beach.
