Young Perth Violist Aaron Dungey will be stepping onto the MetSO stage for the first time this Autumn.
Aaron played violin before commencing viola lessons at Churchlands Senior High School. He was taught by Tzvi Friedl and Kierstan Arkleysmith, and learnt much from their instruction, advice and encouragement.
In 2018, Aaron received the
Paul McGeorge Memorial Prize for
Most Outstanding String Player
Top Instrumental Student Award at Churchlands SHS.
His mark of 100% in the Year 12 WACE examination resulted in him being awarded the
SSTUWA IMSS 2018 ATAR Prize
and he has subsequently won UWA’s prestigious
Delano Music Prize/Scholarship
Aaron has commenced a Bachelor of Arts (Music Studies / Music Specialist Studies) under the tutelage of Sally Boud.

Although on a temporary break from hockey and cricket, Aaron continues to enjoy playing ultimate Frisbee, running and spending time with friends.
